« Outdoor Media Advertising (Part I)
Tips and Tactics
- Although our first instincts may be to try to rent several billboards and cover the city with our message, sometimes only one is needed. If you have an idea for a knockout billboard that you know is going to draw attention (in the same way as a publicity stunt would), then a series may actually take away from the one unique one.
- Digital outdoor advertising is certainly the wave of the future, and in big, modern cities such as Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, and others, digital advertising is already representing many of the biggest companies in new and exciting ways. Although it is still a fairly expensive option, small electronic installations, such as digital picture frames, and projections, are reasonably priced options that could be placed in a store window or projected onto the sidewalk.
