« Internet Direct Marketing (Part I)
Tips and Tactics
- To keep your message from being seen as spam by your readers, care should be taken when filling out the FROM and SUBJECT lines in the email. When emails are received from unknown senders, people are hesitant to open them, as well as when they have unclear, or spammy titles. Being clear and concise in filling in these two fields can help more emails get read, as well as keeping them out of the spam folders.
- Hard-selling typically doesn't work over the internet, and especially in newsletters and ezines. Readers are usually looking for information and helpful tips. Coming on too strong will have the opposite effect, and drive customers away, rather than to your products.
